Collecting, using and disclosing your personal information

Senior Shopper is totally committed to all users and members' privacy and protects your data and security carefully. We will only collect personal information about you if you knowingly provide it and it will never be released to a third party without your consent. We do use your information to improve your membership, however we use only aggregate information so individuals are never identifiable.

Senior Shopper does not share, disclose, sell, distribute, rent, licence, share or pass onto third parties personal information collected at our website or which you have provided to us unless we have your consent to do so.

While Senior Shopper undertakes all reasonable steps to protect your personal information, no guarantee can be given that information sent over the Internet is always 100% secure. Sending and receiving information over the Internet is at the user's own risk, however we will do everything we reasonably can to ensure your data's security once we receive it.

Only authorised Senior Shopper personnel have access to your personal information, which we maintain in a secure environment. It is Senior Shopper's policy to never request your credit card details in an email. Do not ever submit your credit card details in email format.

Our collection and use of statistical information

Senior Shopper does not use cookies or web bugs, however with the assistance of our web hosting service, WebCentral, we do collect aggregated information on how people use our website/s. This information in itself does not personally identify users, although does identify a user's internet browser. WebCentral's method of collecting information helps us to know what our customers find interesting and useful on our website.

The following core information on the usage of the Senior Shopper website/s is obtained:
• The number of page views (or page impressions) that occur on our pages;
• The number of unique visitors to our website/s;
• How long these unique visitors (on average) spend on our website/s when they do visit; and
• Common entry and exit points into our website/s.
This aggregate, non-personal information is collated by WebCentral and collected by Senior Shopper under secure access.

Using Senior Shopper's service and membership verification

Senior Shopper will only collect personal information about you in the normal course of performing Senior Shopper business activities, e.g. when placing an enquiry. Such personal information may include:
- Member's full name
- Residential address (no PO boxes)
- Mailing address (PO boxes acceptable)
- Home phone number
- Name on NSW Seniors Card and membership number, or
- Name on NSW Seniors Business Discount Card [note: there is no number on these cards]

This information helps us to keep the service exclusive to genuine members of the NSW Seniors Card program and also means that member's details are accurate, avoiding the delays that can occur if contact phone numbers or addresses are not current. In order to verify a member's eligibility to purchase through Senior Shopper, the NSW Seniors Card number or Seniors Business Discount Card name will be checked with the Seniors Card Unit. Failure to comply with our policy may result in loss of service.

Collection of Credit Card details and processing

Senior Shopper does not provide online credit card purchasing. Therefore credit card details are never stored on our website or our host's server. Collection of credit card details is conducted purely for transactions made either over-the-counter (in person), by telephone or by mail, to the user's discretion. All card details are used for a single transaction only and are recorded purely for accounting purposes.

Monitoring our service

Members who consent to receive from time to time Senior Shopper material about our products and services may be approached by Senior Shopper to assist us in monitoring our service and member satisfaction. Members who do not consent to participate in these activities will be removed from such lists.

How can I access the information/data kept about me?

If you wish to know what information we hold about you or obtain access to personal data collected by Senior Shopper, please send an email to seniorsnsw@seniorshopper.com.au setting out your name, NSW Seniors Card Membership number [or the name appearing on your Senior Business Discount Card], and the details of your request. We will endeavour to respond to your request within thirty (30) days.

Senior Shopper advertising/offers and links to third party websites

The Senior Shopper website contains links to other websites operated by third parties. These links are not under the control of Senior Shopper, and we take no responsibility for the conduct of these entities.

The Senior Shopper website may also contain third party advertisements which contain embedded hyperlinks to websites operated by third parties. We do not endorse the use of third party websites and highly recommend you to refer to the relevant advertiser for all information regarding the advertiser and its products and/or services.
